It will not renew contract Guendogan in Dortmund
Dortmund – Ilkay Guendogan leave Borussia Dortmund. Following the announcement Dortmund stating that Guendogan will not renew his contract at the club.
Die Borussen seems to be to avoid the same situation as Robert Lewandowski, who joined Bayern Munich on a free transfer in the summer of 2013.
Guendogan was widely reported being approached by Manchester United, who are willing to atone for 30 million euros. However, reportedly Bayern Munich and Juventus are also interested.
“Bundesliga team Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay will part with Guendogan started June 30, 2016,” reads the caption Dortmund on his Facebook page.
“Guendogan has decided not to renew his contract with the winner eight championship titles, which will expire at that time.”
Guendogan recruited from Nuernberg in 2011 and helped Dortmund win the doubles title in the domestic competition in his first season. The following season, the 24-year footballer helped Dortmund to qualify for the Champions League final and scored a penalty at Wembley.
